Artist Recognition: @El_K_ma2um0

It’s that time again, the end of the month (or a couple weeks later) when we celebrate a member of our community for their awesome work! This is our seventh time recognising an artist for their work, can’t believe we have been going for over half a year now! So far we have had @Dpruttz_VP, @scionjay96, @calisarah1998, @Chris25551 & @KeenEyeVP, @LUCEFER_DW and this month we can add @El_L_ma2um0 to the list. Scroll down to see their 12 favourite pieces of work alongside our Q&A.
VPGamersUK: Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m a general housewife living in Japan who enjoys playing games. After finishing the errands, I have free time, so I can play with the cats I live with, watch movies, play games, and so on. However, I have too many things I want to do, so I set a time and do what I like.

VPGamersUK: What got you into video games?
I don’t remember much, but when I was a child, my father, who didn’t seem to be interested in video games, suddenly bought me a NES. I remember playing it with the whole family.

VPGamersUK: What is your favourite video games, and console?
Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Breath of the Wild. Final Fantasy 6, 7, 10, 15, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Dragon Quest 2,4 & 5. Devil May Cry series. Monster Hunter 3rd/4G/Cross, Ice Bone. FarCry 5, 6. Detroit Become Human. The Last Guardian. Ghost Of Tsushima. HORIZON…etc. I have too many favorite games to mention.

VPGamersUK: How did you get into VP?
I got goose bumps from the opening of Ghost Of Tsushima, and I was addicted to the world view. At first, I was only taking screenshots, but I became interested in the activity called virtual photography, and before I knew it, I started taking virtual photos while researching various things.

VPGamersUK: How do you feel about the VP community?
There are many communities, and I am amazed at the high quality of the virtual photos that everyone is sharing. I am very grateful for the kind people who share their wonderful works with me, and as I have only been in virtual photography for a short time, I feel honored to be able to learn and connect with people from many different countries through photography.

VPGamersUK: If you could only eat one type of sandwich for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Is it a panini? Because I want to try an authentic Italian panini at least once. I think it tastes different from the one in Japan.

VPGamersUK: What is next for your VP? Where do you see it going in the future?
I do not set clear goals. This is because I do not have any specialized skills and often shoot by intuition. However, I feel it is necessary to know what genres I am good at and what I am not good at. And I would like to start by finding the genres I am good at, and I would like to try the genres I am not good at, instead of avoiding them. I also hope to learn a little bit about cameras. But first of all, I want to play games without forgetting to enjoy them.

VPGamersUK: What makes a good photo mode in your opinion? What features are absolutely necessary?
I have never touched an actual SLR camera, but my feeling is that it is a photo mode that is intuitive and easy to operate, like Tsushima or Horizon… I sometimes wish it had a lighting function.

VPGamersUK: Do you have anyone in the community you want to give shoutouts to? Whether someone has guided you in becoming better, you love someone’s work, or you’ve seen someone helping others.
I don’t mean to single out any particular individual. Everyone involved in VP deserves respect. Because there are so many great works. I am always surprised and discovering new things. I respect all my followers.

VPGamersUK: What is your favourite film and TV series?
Kingsman Pan’s Labyrinth (a film by Guillermo del Toro) Shape of Water (a Guillermo del Toro film) Avatar Evangelion series and others

We would like to thank @El_K_ma2um0 for taking part, we all love the VP that you create! She is the seventh artist we have recognised since we started back in January. We love getting to know not only members of our community but the wider VP community as a whole. We hope to be able to do one of the Q&As with a game developer at some point, so stay tuned for that.
